Company Infomation and Useful Links

My name is Christine Mallalieu and I have been involved in Complementary Health for a number of years since I discovered Reiki. This led to a need to explore other therapies for further knowledge of the body and mind, encouraging me to explore and learn about myself, therapies and energetic ways of incorporating physical treatments with coaching and mentoring. I began to understand the importance of being balanced not only on a physical level, but also emotionally and mentally. I investigated the effects of stress on general Health and the huge impact and far reaching symptoms which occur when we allow it to affect us.

This has led me to work in some very difficult but rewarding areas, such as drug and alcohol addiction, trauma work and chronic disease. I very soon came to understand that I was not working with a disease, pain, or illness, I was working with a person.

am a busy Wife, Mother and Grandmother, and all my family receive regular treatments, including 3 dogs and 2 cats. I regularly attend Continuing Professional Development courses ,as a requirement of BTPA membership, and as a means of further developing my practice. My recent training has included – Myofascial Trigger Points, EFT for Addictions, a Diploma in Emotional Intelligence, Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy, and woking with a Super League Rugby Club. This all helps me to ensure that you receive the best support using newly integrated techniques.

I am also pleased to introduce my friend and colleague Fran Miller to the practice. Fran is also a qualified Bowen Technique practitioner, and she specialises in Emotional and Psychological interventions.

We all have our story…mine.. probably much like anyone else’s, but I know my life changed dramatically when I first experienced feeling fully heard and respected as a client.

Having experienced first -hand how life changing the right balance of treatment and support can be I was hooked . I suppose you could say that since that time (20yrs ago) my personal and professional life has been guided by my wish to offer other people the same opportunity I’d received to move on in my life.

It’s been an amazing trip, and on the way I’ve explored a whole range of psychological and physical treatment approaches. From my early beginnings as a mental health nurse I went on to train as a counsellor and clinical supervisor and later in Shiatsu Reiki Bowen and Trauma therapies. Besides my ongoing work in the NHS as a Clinical Nurse Specialist addictions, I enjoy bringing all I’ve learned together in an integrated way in my private practice with Christine and NRG Balance.

Far from being a bind, my working life has been a gift, every day I witness the power of the human spirit to overcome physical and psychological trauma and transform life’s difficult experiences into opportunity for renewal and growth.

In my personal life….well, I’ve been around a while ! I still sit in a chair as a client when I encounter difficult situations in my life. I’m lucky I enjoy good health surrounded by loving friends and family. I’m in my mid fifties now and after many years study beginning to more fully realise my own potential for fun, dancing and holidays in the sun. My life to this point has been a gift.

A big part of the fun I have is in my contact with Christine. We’ve been working together for about five years now. Besides the inevitable fun we have, we enjoy a continued fascination and commitment to our own wellness, and a shared vision and belief in the potential of people. Fantastic !
